Hello Pocock Parents!

 

I hope that everyone is enjoying this weather!  Awesome!  I also hope that your rowers are settling into their school and practice routine. 

 

A few reminders and updates:

 

·         There is a Novice /New Family Meeting this Thursday at 6:30 at the Boathouse.  Please plan to attend.  Mentor families should also plan on being present and we will make the introductions during a social after the meeting.

 

·         The Pocock Rowing Center team store is now open. At the JL Team Store site, you can use your own credit card to order required team uniform items as well as training gear. Everyone MUST get their order in by midnight (PST), September 23rd. If you miss the store closing date, you will need to order your uniform as an individual. For individual orders pricing and shipping will be different than a team purchase.

·         Parking and Pick up!  PLEASE do not double park and try to wait “just those few minutes” for your rower in the street.  We really need everyone to park legally in the parking lot or on in a real space on the street.  There is so much traffic and potential for an injury accident with our 100 rowers as well as Lake Union’s rowers being dismissed between 6:15 and 6:30.  If the reader of this email is not the driver, please forward to the driver.  Your attention to this issue is appreciated and thank you to those who are following the rules.

 

·         The Tail of the Lake Regatta is scheduled for October 2^nd.  There will be more information to come.
