Hello Pocock Parents!

 

Only 3 more days until we leave for Vancouver and the US Rowing NW Junior Regionals.  Very exciting!

 

Specifically, regarding Regionals:

 

1.       Please see attachments labeled Parents Regionals and Packing list for up to date information on logistics.  Please make sure your rower is at Pocock by 3:45 at the latest on Thursday. 

 

2.       Please remit the $260 per rower to the office as soon as possible.  You may also just call Nat to authorize him to use your credit card on file. Thank you!

 

3.       Attached are heat sheets.  I want to put a disclaimer on these time and boat schedules.  During a regatta, many things can happen that can cause times and rowers to change.  Please use these only as a rough guide to the regatta.  As the regatta progresses, we will have the most up to date information at the tent so check in often.

 

4.        We are needing a Van driver to drive a group of rowers down on Thursday afternoon/evening and come back on Sunday.  While we are in Vancouver, you will also be responsible to get your rowers to and from the race course.  Please respond to me directly as soon as possible if you would love to help out in this way!  ( I did this last year and am doing it again this year.  It’s actually a lot of fun and really plugs you into the event and the team)

1.        Jeremy Geiduschek was kind enough to share these wonderful photos that he took at Brentwood.  Go to

2.        Kathleen is missing her cooler from Brentwood.  It is a large rounded square cooler.  It has a blue base with a white top and has a black handle in the back.  The eggs were in it at Brentwood and the last of the food was in it for the journey home.  Please respond if you have it or know where it might be.

 

3.       Just a reminder that the End of Year Junior Banquet will take place next Thursday evening.  You will receive an evite invitation with all of the details in the next few days.  It is a Potluck and we are only half way there with food volunteers.  Please email Susan Geiduschek at susan.geiduschek@seattlechildrens.org for more details about what is needed and if you would like to contribute a food item.  Thank you and thanks to everyone who has already signed up!!

 

4.       Pocock Rowing Center would like you to invite all of the parents & kids down to the boathouse for our boat dedication(s) on June 4, 9:30 to 10:30.  Boats dedicated are:
